The holidays always sneak up like, “Hey, remember me?” Suddenly it’s gift lists, travel plans, and trying to pretend peppermint bark counts as breakfast.
If your energy’s already doing cartwheels, same.
Here’s how to make it through the next two months feeling more you, grounded, fed, hydrated, and maybe even enjoying it.
☀️ Mornings: start soft
Mornings hit different this time of year, darker, busier, louder. The trick? Keep it simple.
Hydrate before caffeine. Move before chaos.
Most days I grab my shaker, toss in PB Powerhouse or Strawberry Banana Immunity, and add almond milk. No blender, no mess. Sip it in the car while pretending the traffic is me time.
🍪 Food: be real
The goal is balance, not sainthood. Eat your greens, but also eat your grandma’s cookies. Both have healing properties in their own way.
Keep snacks like a protein bar, apple or whatever you love stashed everywhere, purse, car, stroller, glove box. A mason jar with Waav Smoothie Cubes and milk has saved me from turning into a holiday monster more times than I’ll admit. Just add before you run out, let melt on the road, shake and sip!
🏃♀️ Movement: make it make sense
You don’t need a 60-minute class or perfect leggings. You just need ten minutes and your own body.
Walk while your kid scooter rides. Stretch while the oven preheats. Dance in your kitchen, bonus if there’s wine involved.
Movement should make you feel alive, not guilty.
🧘 Protect your peace
Say no. Take a walk alone. Put your phone down when you realize you’re scrolling through other people’s matching pajamas at midnight.
Breathe. Literally. In for three, hold for three, out for three. The simplest stuff works when you actually do it. I use to laugh at this stuff, but do not knock it until you try it!
🌿 The reset without the drama
You don’t need a January detox. You need water, sunlight, protein, and sleep.
Start your mornings with something clean, like Tropical Greens or Pitaya Passionfruit. It tastes like sunshine and keeps you energized until life slows down. You’re doing great, tired human, and all.
